Hazard Perception Test CGI 5.2

The Hazard Perception component of the driving theory test is a critical step that candidates must pass on their first attempt. This assessment, administered by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), evaluates a candidate’s ability to recognizePotential hazards promptly and accurately.

This application offers a practice environment that closely simulates the actual hazard perception test, utilizing clips licensed directly from DVSA. These clips include timed scenarios designed to measure reaction speed and hazard detection skills. Users interact by touching the screen to identify hazards; earlier identification results in higher scores, with scoring ranging from five to zero points. Upon completing each clip, a review mode allows users to see precisely when hazards appear and cease, providing valuable feedback for improvement.

Application features include:

• Ten hazard perception revision clips licensed from DVSA, the original certifying authority.
• Automatic recording of the highest and lowest scores for each clip, along with attempt counts to track progress over time.
• Suitable for a range of learner drivers, including:

  • Learner motorcyclists
  • LGV drivers
  • PCV drivers
  • Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) and Potential Driving Instructors (PDIs)
